Irish Oaks winner Chicquita will be trained by Aidan O'Brien next season, according to the Irish Field.

Ireland's racing and equestrian weekly newspaper claims the former Alain de Royer-Dupre-trained filly has joined the Ballydoyle ranks, which will give O'Brien no less than four individual Classic winners with which to go to war next term.

Chicquita would join the likes of St Leger hero Leading Light, Irish 2,000 Guineas winner Magician, Epsom Derby victor Ruler Of The World and top American recruit Verrazano.

The four-year-old was sold for 6million euro at Goffs last November, with bloodstock agents Peter and Ross Doyle signing for the daughter of Montjeu. It has not been announced who is the new owner of the filly.

"The addition of Chicquita to a team that already includes Magician, Ruler Of The World and Leading Light means that Aidan O'Brien has four Classic winners at his disposal for the coming season," said spokesman Joe Burke.

"Furthermore he houses the favourite for both the Epsom Derby and Oaks in Australia and Tapestry respectively, in addition to last year's Dewhurst winner War Command, which means he now trains the strongest team of Flat horses in Europe, by some margin."
