Condon has plenty of options for Success Ken Condon feels Success Days gave a career-best performance when third in the Tattersalls Gold Cup and is now looking forward to an autumn campaign. The mud-loving grey will have a break after taking minor honours behind proven Group One winners Fascinating Rock and Found at the Curragh, despite losing crucial ground by going over to the stands side in the straight. Races such as the Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown in September, the Qipco Champion Stakes at Ascot in October and the Premio Roma at Capannelle in November will come under serious consideration, as long conditions are favourable. "He's eaten up and is in super form. He's had a walk and been in the paddock for a couple of hours. All is well with him and we're very pleased with him," said Condon. "It was the plan to go across to the stands side. Shane and I discussed it. The horse just likes to go left. "You don't like doing it because the distance between two points is a straight line. He's covered extra ground and cost us a few lengths, but he finished to good effect. "I was pleased how he went to the line very strongly. I know he won the Derrinstown impressively (last season) but I think this was his best run. I can't wait to see what the handicapper thinks of it. "I'd like to think that the likes of Leopardstown, if he got his ground, he'd be very competitive again against those same horses, especially on a left-handed track. "He's proved he's up to that class and he's still improving. "The Irish Champion Stakes is in September so he might not get his ground. He's obviously run very well at Leopardstown previously, so that would be the plan. "He's on a break now. He's had three runs. He might run before the Irish Champion Stakes, I'm not quite sure. "That's part of the plan and possibly the Champion Stakes on Champions Day at Ascot (in October). It can be testing then. "There's another option in November, a Group One race over a mile and a quarter in Rome. That might work as well, so he has a few options."
