Curragh rain would be Channon's Dream Mick Channon is hoping for a bit of rain at the Curragh ahead of Dan’s Dream’s likely bid for glory in the Tattersalls Irish 1,000 Guineas on Sunday. Winner of the Fred Darling Stakes at Newbury, she could finish only 10th in the Guineas at Newmarket on quick ground. “As long as everything goes OK she’ll go,” sad Channon. “She’s come back well after the Guineas and while we’d love a bit of rain over there, there’s not much we can do about that. “So as long as everything goes all right between now and then it is full steam ahead.” The Cityscape filly is part-owned by sporting legends Sir Ian Botham and Sir Gareth Edwards, with all prize-money Dan’s Dream earns going to the Nicholls Spinal Injury Foundation.
