Davis appointed new Tipperary Manager Jane Davis has been appointed as General Manager of Tipperary Racecourse, and will take up her new post from the start of next month. Davis, who was the Sales and Marketing Executive at Leopardstown Racecourse, will replace Nessa Joyce who is returning to the management team at the Foxrock track. The new Tipperary supremo is a Sports Management graduate from University College Dublin, and also has a postgraduate diploma in Event Management and Public Relations. She has been part of the sales and marketing team at Leopardstown for the past five years, and previously working in racing yards, thoroughbred sales and the Curragh Racecourse. Looking forward to the appointment Ms Davis said: “Tipperary has a long and valued history as a racecourse and schooling-ground and I’m honoured to be appointed to this role. I relish the opportunity to continue its development, working with the experienced and talented committee and team on the ground”. Brian Kavanagh, Chief Executive of Horse Racing Ireland said: “We wish Jane well in her new role to which she will bring the considerable experience she has gained in Leopardstown. "Jane will also support the HRI Racecourse teams and the marketing campaign for the Leopardstown Christmas Festival, in the winter months”.
