Day one facts and figures The opening day attendance at Punchestown of 16,324 was down 1,844 on the corresponding day last year but General Manager Dick O'Sullivan was in upbeat mood. 'We are down around 1,800 people on last year but we have lost around 2,500 corporate bookings, so the number actually turning up and coming through the gates is up and we're delighted with that,' said O'Sullivan.
