Dinamine makes breakthrough on his return to Mulvany Dinamine just got the better of Serengeti Sunrise at the end of seven furlongs in the Thomastown Handicap at Gowran Park. Serengeti Sunrise was well away from stall five for Shane Foley and the pair soon dictated. They were still boxing on inside the final two furlongs, but faced a challenge from an improving Dinamine and Wesley Joyce at the furlong marker. Dinamine headed the leader in the closing stages, however, Serengeti Sunrise wasn't quite done with and rallied close home. There was a short head between the winner Dinamine (11/2) and the 16/1 runner-up, while 13/2 shot Navorrosse was a length and three-parts back in third. Michael Mulvany said: "He’s only after coming back to me a couple of months ago. He was with me as a two-year-old and went away then for a few years. It doesn’t pay to fall out with anybody!” Dinamine last ran for Mulvany at Bellewstown in July 2021 and has since had spells with David Dunne and John McConnell. This was his breakthrough success at the 37th time of asking. Additional reporting by Alan Magee
