Drinmore plan for Liane Tom Cooper is looking to step River Liane up in trip following his debut success over fences at Naas on Saturday. The smart two-mile hurdler is likely to head to Fairyhouse for the Drinmore Chase over two and a half miles at the end of the month after getting off the mark over the bigger obstacles, despite making a mistake at the final fence. "He's grand, not a bother. I was happy with it. It was workmanlike and I suppose if he hadn't have got close to the last he would have won easy," said the Tralee trainer. "He lost all momentum after jumping the last and had to get going again, but he did it well enough. He might go for the Drinmore over two and a half at Fairyhouse. I think he'll get the trip all right."
