Elliott not afraid of taking on Getabird again Gordon Elliott is not afraid of having another crack at Getabird with Mengli Khan. The pair finished first and second in the Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle with Getabird running out a ready winner. While Elliott was keen to stress the best horse won, he felt Mengli Khan was maybe a little below-par. He told At The Races: "The winner looked class. I was standing at the last and when he went by me he was absolutely flying. "The best horse won on the day. Our lad ran well but I'm not sure he ran to the best of his form as, for me, he should have beat the third and fourth further than he did. "But, no matter what, the best horse won and it will take a fair horse to beat him wherever he goes. "You should never be afraid of one horse or two so we'll go straight for the Supreme with him now. "Labaik won it for us last year and it's whatever turns up on the day."
