The Rock Factor scampered clear to win the finale at Dundalk in fine style.

Emmet Mullins' charge was making his first start since mid-June and only his second in handicap company.

Ben Coen dictated things from the front on the 11/2 shot and edged on turning for home in the ten furlong handicap.

The Fastnet Rock gelding was asked to stretch over a furlong from home and asserted in the closing stages to record a three-and-three-quarter length victory.

Coen said afterwards: "There wasn't much pace in it, so I let him roll away in front. He got it quite easy and he picked up good.

"He seemed to handle that surface nicely, and he will probably get a little bit further as well if you needed him to.

"For a horse in that bracket, he did everything I asked of him, so hopefully he can stay progressing."
