A fine scopey son of Doctor Dino, the 5/4 joint favourite Fil Dor was an impressive winner of the Value Cabs 3-Y-O Hurdle.

Placed in a bumper in his only start in France, Davy Russell’s mount sat close to the pace in a steadily-run event before being allowed to stride on before the third-last and he readily went clear to beat fellow joint-favourite Sea Sessions by sixteen lengths.

Paddy Power introduced the Caldwell Construction-owned winner at 12/1 for the Triumph Hurdle.

It was a fifth success in the last seven renewals of this contest for winning trainer Gordon Elliott who commented: "He's a fair horse and he will be good over juvenile hurdles this year.

"He was impressive and he's a good horse. I love the way he did it, he would be so relaxed through a race which is more important.

"He might go for a graded race in Fairyhouse.

"He'll go on any ground."
