Paul Flynn is hoping to win a nice handicap prize with The Big Chap this season after the Policy Maker gelding secured his second win over fences at Galway last week.

The six-year-old claimed the scalp of My Mate Mozzie when scoring at 50/1 at Fairyhouse earlier last month before recording a hard fought success in a rated novice contest at Ballybrit.

Flynn won't over-face his charge this season and is eyeing some nice handicap pots.

“He came out of the race brilliant. He got a mark of 134 and we'll probably go for a two-mile handicap chase next month,” said the Longford handler.

“I don't want to go to Grade 1s or anything stupid. He's only six and hopefully he can win a nice handicap chase somewhere over two or two-and-a-half miles.

“Two miles in time could be his ideal trip.”
