Geraghty says more to come from Berlais Barry Geraghty expects Sire Du Berlais to soon hit the target following his third place at Punchestown on Sunday. The Gordon Elliott-trained runner was beaten seven and a half lengths in a two-mile Listed heat, with Mick Jazz just getting the better of Cheltenham Festival fancy Cilaos Emery in a tight finish. Sire Du Berlais, who is owned by JP McManus, was making Irish debut for Elliott having previously been trained in France, and Geraghty expects him to reap the benefits of the outing. He told his At The Races blog: "Sire Du Berlais ran a nice race in the opening Listed novices' hurdle at Punchestown on Sunday. "It was a good race, the first two Mick Jazz and Cilaos Emery are good novices, and they pulled away from us. My horse couldn't go with them, he couldn't match them for pace, but he kept on well enough for third place. "It was just his third run over hurdles and it was his first run for Gordon, so hopefully he can come on for it. He should be able to find easier races."
