The ground is likely to be soft as jump racing returns after a mini New Year break this weekend at Cork and Naas.

The going is currently yielding to soft at Cork where the McCarthy Insurance-sponsored meeting takes place on Saturday.

There is Grade 1 action at Naas on Sunday with the Lawlor's Hotel Novice Hurdle the highlight at the Co. Kildare venue.

The ground is currently described as soft.

The weather forecast is for rain tonight and into tomorrow with a generally dry weekend.

Dundalk hosts an eight-race card tomorrow evening with the action getting underway at the slightly earlier time of 4.55pm.
