Harry The Rogue registers second win of the season Harry The Rogue made it two wins from his last three starts, as he comfortably accounted for 13 rivals in the Donnie Broderick's Plumbing Handicap. Successful on his penultimate start at Naas, before finishing sixth at Gowran last week, the Andy Slattery-trained four-year-old was sent off a 9/2 chance this evening. Nicely positioned in second by Sam Coen, the bay victor travelled strongly to challenge with two furlongs to go. Soon getting to the front, he was ridden clear inside the final 200 yards and came home two-and-three-quarters of a length clear of Saxon Kingdom (9/2). The front-running Still She Blooms (6/1) was just a short head away in third, while Dazzling Spirit (7/2f) could only manage a disappointing ninth. "We are keeping him busy and he is keeping going. He is in at Gowran again next week so we may as well keep him going," Slattery commented. "He had been unlucky a few times at Dundalk and while he had been frustrating as he finished second as a two-year-old, probably got himself well handicapped. He was running too free but has settled now. "Seamus McGrath's (owner, who works in Croom House Stud) grandson is Harry so that's where the horse gets his name." STEWARDS REPORTS * The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident on the run to the first bend involving Saith Seren (GB), ridden by J.A. Heffernan, unplaced, Jurality (GB), ridden by D. McMonagle, placed fourth, and Dazzling Spirit, ridden by C.T. Keane, unplaced, where Saith Seren (GB) appeared to be running keen and shifted right, making contact with Jurality (GB) and Dazzling Spirit. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted. * S. Foley, rider of Haeret In Pectore, trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount became unbalanced on the home bend. Additional reporting by Thomas Weekes
