Heffernan appeal dismissed Seamie Heffernan has had his appeal against a ten-day ban imposed at the Curragh last Sunday thrown out at a hearing today. Heffernan was hit with the ban after his ride on In Salutem in the Bold Lad Sprint Handicap. The jockey was adjudged to have ridden dangerously, after causing interference to two of his rivals, and the horse was disqualified on the day. The appeals committee today upheld the judgement of the acting stewards. The suspension will start on Sunday September 27th.
