The 6/4 favourite Igraine was always going like a winner in the Killarney Towers Hotel Maiden Hurdle and scored easily in the hands of JJ Slevin.

Joseph O'Brien 's Camelot filly, runner-up in her previous three outings, sat a close second to Wrcking Ball Paul before taking over from that one on the run to the third-last. She was untroubled from that point and accounted for Vocito and Rock Ya Boy Ya by eleven lengths and two and a quarter lengths.

Stable representative Brendan Powell said: "She had every right to win, I don't think it was very competitive but she has won. The plan was to make it but Jack (Kennedy on Wrecking Ball Paul was a bit keen so he let him off and it probably suited that she followed one around for a while.

"She has won with her ears pricked. She does that when she finishes second or third as well but none of the others were able to come to her.

"I suppose it is unfair to say she had Brazil (stablemate and Fred Winter Hurdle winner) behind her in a novice hurdle!"
