Promising apprentice jockey Reese Holohan registered a sixth success today, landing Dundalk’s Winter Series Leading Trainer & Jockey Championship Handicap on the Terence O’Brien-trained Inchiquin Maid (20/1).

Carrying a feather weight of just 8st 2lb, the Stitched Pockets Syndicate-owned seven-year-old mare ended a losing spell stretching back to her maiden success in December 2024, when scoring by 1.75 lengths from Minella Mate .

Jockey Holohan, who had his first ride just last September, said "that was pretty straightforward as everywhere we were, I had wanted to be. As soon as we turned in, a gap came, she quickened through it and hit the line good and strong. The plan had been to be in the first four or five and try to ride a race from there.

"She liked the trip and it suited her around here.

"Things are going brilliant and I'm getting plenty of rides."
