Katla going for Group 3 glory at Newbury John Grogan's star filly Katla will take her chance in the Group 3 Dubai International World Trophy, the 3:40 at Newbury this afternoon. The 3yo was last seen winning the Listed Sweet Mimosa Stakes at Naas in July and has been a model of consistency this season. On her last trip across the Irish Sea she finished a good fourth to subsequent Group 1 Nunthorpe Stakes winner Margot Did in a Listed contest at Ayr back in June. Kieran Fallon takes the ride today on the daughter of Majestic Missile and she has been installed at the generous odds of 11/1 with Paddy Powers this morning. Deacon Blues who was last seen impressively winning the Phoenix Sprint at the Curragh has been installed the 7/4 favourite for the five furlong contest.
