Katy Brown has her 1st runner - at Dundalk With a wealth of experience in the game County Wexford-based English woman Katy Brown sends out her first runner as a trainer when Secret Memories debuts in the Servisource Recruitment Maiden at Dundalk.   "I just thought it was time to kick on myself and have a go at it.  I'm in Ireland about eleven or twelve years now — it's pretty much home," said Miss Brown.   "I started out with Dandy Nicholls.   "I've worked for Paddy Twomey doing the breeze-ups and for Joe and Aidan Fogarty in Kilfeacle Stud as well.   "I was with Sabrina Harty on the Curragh too, but I've always done some on my own — breakers and such."   Niall McCullagh has been booked to ride the Rip Van Winkle three-year-old, Secret Memories, and her trainer is looking forward to her initial outing, commenting: "She's a nice filly.  We think a lot of her and she's working well at home and everything.  She's nice and straight-forward."   Located in Rathnure, an area synonymous with hurling, the rookie handler also sees its benefits for a racing yard.   She explained: "We like where we're based in Wexford.  We're in an ideal location — we use the beach a good bit and we're not too far from the Curragh.  There's Duninga there nearby too, so it's perfect.  You couldn't be in a better spot to train racehorses.   "We've a filly (Boney Moloney) for Sunday (Fairyhouse) as well, but she's probably a little bit weak and she'll likely be better on good ground.   "We have a couple in for the track but we have some lovely four-year-olds that haven't run yet and they're for point-to-points.    "There's some really nice stock there — bred nice — please god they stay sound and healthy — that's the main thing.  Hopefully all the early mornings and late nights will pay off."   Elsewhere at Dundalk meanwhile, one of the chief points of interest is the appearance of Guard Of Honour in the Vodatrade.ie — Digital Marketing and Website Design Services Handicap.   George Baker sends this fellow across from his Manton base.  He's secured Colin Keane for the mount.
