Kauto Star is Horse of the Year Kauto Star (rated 186) wins horse of the year for the second time at Anglo-Irish National Hunt Awards in London this afternoon. The awards held jointly by the British Horseracing Authority and Turf Club also highlighted the achievements of Willie Mullins Novices with wins in the Novice Hurdler category for Hurricane Fly (157) and Novice Chase section for Cooldine (160). Mullins also supplied the runner-ups in each of those sections, Mikael dHaguenet (156) Novice Hurdles and Barker (159) Novice Chase. Other winners were: Binocular (169) Champion 2 mile Hurdler; Master Minded (178) Champion 2 mile Chaser; Big Bucks (174) Champion 2.5mile Hurdler; Voy Por Ustedes (171) and Exotic Dancer (171) joint winners of Champion 2.5mile Chaser; Kauto Star Champion 3 mile Chaser . Voy Por Ustedes (171) also won the order of merit.
