All eyes will be on Paris on Sunday with Aidan O'Brien double-handed in the five million euros Qatar Prix de l'Arc De Triomphe with Minnie Hauk and Los Angeles and there will be four Irish-trained runners in the big race.

Our multiple champion jockey Colin Keane has his first ride in the Prix de l’Arc as he partners Kalpana for trainer Andrew Balding.

A Group 1 winner last year, the Juddmonte-bred daughter of Study Of Man has been runner-up on her last three starts including the King George at Ascot in July. Last time out she chased home Giavellotto in the Group 3 September Stakes at Kempton.

Keane told Dave Keena that he's hopeful of a big run from the four-year-old on Sunday.

"It's a massive weekend, it's one of the weekends everyone looks forward to at the end of the year.

"Kalpana is going there as a bit of an underdog now after bumping into one on her last three starts.

"I thought it was a good run at Kempton. The winner is no slouch, is a Group 1 winner himself and is unbeaten on the all-weather.

"Kalpana is a filly that always looks after herself and carries a bit of weight, and she was coming back after a break. She got a little bit tired and the winner gave her a little bump in the last furlong which wouldn't have helped her cause.

"She's come out of Kempton well, everyone seems to be happy with her since that run, and she's got first-time cheekpieces, so we're hopeful of a big run on Sunday."
