Last Minute Decision on Arazan

John Oxx says he'll make a last-minute decision on whether Arazan runs in the 2000 Guineas.

The colt, with Mick Kinane up, worked with stablemate and fellow Guineas hope Sea The Stars at Leopardstown on Sunday.

And aftewards Oxx revealed that the ground at Newmarket will probably determine whether Arazan lines up for the Classic on May 2.

He told The Racing Post: "It was a nice piece of work and we're happy with both colts. We still have almost two weeks to go to Newmarket and, hopefully, all will continue to go well.

"The ground remains an issue for Arazan, he wouldn't want it too fast. It will probably be a last-minute decision as to whether he'll run."

Arazan, a son of Anabaa, won his first two starts as a juvenile before ending his two-year-old campaign by finishing third behind Mastercraftsman and Shaweel in the National Stakes at the Curragh.
