Master Minded faces just 2

Master Minded and Albertas Run will face just one other rival in Saturday's Betfred Monet's Garden Old Roan Chase at Aintree.

Paul Nicholls' dual Champion Chase winner won the Melling Chase on his final start last season, and is the chosen runner from Ditcheat, with Tataniano instead running at Chepstow.

Albertas Run chased home Master Minded in April and was a well-beaten fourth in this contest last year, however Jonjo O'Neill's 10-year-old has won at the track before.

The final contender is Peter Bowen's Pure Faith who has race fitness on his side, having run already this month, however he has lots to find on official ratings despite getting plenty of weight from his two rivals.
