Millar at double on Plate hopeful Anyway Anyway, who was last seen finishing runner-up in the Grade 2 Jack Richards Novices' Limited Handicap Chase at the Cheltenham Festival, reappeared to land the beginners' chase in Kilbeggan. It looked like he could be vulnerable off the home bend as 4/5 favourite You Oughta Know stayed on under in-form Sean Cleary-Farrell, however, Anyway still had a bit up his sleeve. Carl Millar, who was earlier successful aboard Emily Love in the mares' hurdle, sent the leader about his business after the last and he galloped in by two and a-quarter lengths, in the first-time tongue-strap, at 2/1 from the favourite. There was a seven-length gap back to Harsh (7/1) in third. Ken Budds said: “He jumped well, travelled well, and he was entitled to win it. It’s grand to get a win into him over fences. “He wouldn’t want it heavy, but soft or yielding is grand. He’s actually very good on real fast ground. “He was never over faced and is learning to get quicker and quicker. Cheltenham made a man of him - the speed and the fences coming up quick. “I’m not sure what the plans are, but I’d imagine he’ll get an entry in the Galway Plate.” Additional reporting by Alan Magee
