Mooresbridge plan for Yucatan Yucatan will run in the Coolmore Camelot Irish EBF Mooresbridge Stakes at Naas on Monday. The Aidan O’Brien-trained four-year-old showed top-class form as a two-year-old but his Classic campaign was interrupted by injury. He returned to action behind stablemate Capri, whom he pushed close as a juvenile, in the Alleged Stakes at Naas last month. And while he only finished fourth of five he is expected to step up considerably on what was his first outing for almost a year. “He’ll come on a good deal for that,” said Alan Cooper, racing manager for the Niarchos family, who own Yucatan together with Coolmore partners John Magnier, Michael Tabor and Derrick Smith. “I think the plan at the moment is to go for the Mooresbridge Stakes. The last time I spoke to Aidan, that was the plan.”
