Oisin Murphy will soon have to compete against his weighing room rivals on level terms after he rode out his 3lb claim at Sandown Park on Friday evening.

It is just over 12 months since the 18-year-old sensation celebrated the first winner of his career, and he has already wowed Australia and had a mount in the Derby, as well as that incredible Ayr Gold Cup day four-timer, so he is fully expected to make the transition.

The victory came in the Noelle Reno Handicap when he finished strongly aboard the Joe Tuite-trained Presburg and pulled two and a quarter lengths ahead of senior rider James Doyle and Vital Evidence.

After reaching the 95-winner mark, which included 13 in Australia, Murphy was handed a congratulatory bottle of champagne.

A graduate of the Irish pony racing circuit and the nephew of Cheltenham Gold Cup-winning trainer Jim Culloty, Murphy said: "It's unbelievable.

"I've had the longest losing streak I've ever had, 31, and I've had six seconds. People say you'll get there and I know it's only six days as my agent's been getting me a lot of rides, but you do get a bit down.

"Joe does a really good job, I get on most of his, and it's a real team effort."

Kieren Fallon rides True Story in the Godolphin blue in the Coral-Eclipse today and he was buoyant after a course and distance Listed success in the same silks.

Now with Saeed bin Suroor from Mark Johnston, the 5-4 favourite Windhoek was third in the Group Three Diomed Stakes at Epsom and a repeat of that form was enough to take him two and a half lengths clear in the Ambant Gala Stakes.

"I really like this horse," said Fallon. "He didn't handle Epsom and the ground was against him the time before at Goodwood. Saeed is taking him along slowly and he won very well today. He's getting better and better."
