Noble gets the nod

Trainer Shane Broderick registered his first winner of the season when his All Noble got the better of a tight tussle to win the Powerstown Park Handicap Hurdle at Clonmel today.

Ridden by Broderick's assistant Johnny Levins, the son of Anshan was made to work all the way to the line. Eventual runner-up Donttellmother appeared to have gained a narrow advantage close home but the photo print showed All Noble had gained a fractional advantage at the line.

Broderick was not present for All Noble's win, a third career success for the horse which gained his initial bumper success in 2006 under his owner, Barry Connell.
