Now Or Never primed for First Lady race Michael O'Callaghan is hopeful of a big run from Now Or Never in the First Lady Stakes at Keeneland tonight (9.35pm). The daughter of Bushranger won the Derrinstown Stud 1,000 Guineas Trial before finishing third in the Classic itself and fourth in both the Coronation Stakes and Matron Stakes. Her trainer said: "It's a Grade One and a mile on the turf. At home, these kinds of races are pretty much finished up for the year. "She is Group One-placed and a Group Three winner. We gave her a break after Ascot. "She was a close fourth. She was in the lead a furlong out and just got caught. "She loves the weather here and is really thriving. She may stay here for next week's Queen Elizabeth (II Challenge Cup). "We will see how it goes this Saturday." Heading the opposition is the mighty Tepin, who won the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot and is favourite to retain her Breeders' Cup Mile title next month. "Our feeling was it would be better to run her against fillies and hopefully get a little easier race this time out, and it should set her up nicer for the Breeders' Cup," trainer Mark Casse told www.bloodhorse.com. "That being said, I'm not saying that the fillies are easy to beat, either. There are some really good fillies in there, but we just thought it would be a little easier." David O'Meara's Mondialiste will attempt to claim another big-race success in North America when he runs in the Shadwell Mile on the same card. With the Woodbine Mile and the Arlington Million already on his CV, the six-year-old is possibly rated higher across across the pond than in Britain as he was also runner-up in last season's Breeders' Cup Mile. Jockey Danny Tudhope told the Yorkshire Post: "This jet-setting horse is giving me another trip Stateside as we head to Keeneland for the Shadwell Turf Mile. Fingers crossed for another memorable day. If he carries his form from Arlington Park 400 miles to Kentucky, he'll go well."
