Options open for Finger

Tom Taaffe is keeping his options open with Finger Onthe Pulse as he bids to build on his return to the winners' enclosure at Listowel last month.

The 2010 Galway Plate winner heralded the return to form of the yard when scoring at the Kerry track and has several possible races on his radar.

A return to Cheltenham, where he claimed the Jewson Chase in 2008, on Saturday for the ZEturf.com Handicap Chase looks unlikely.

The Accordion gelding also holds an entry in the Grade 3 Chase at Punchestown on Thursday, but that is also set to be bypassed.

"I don't think he will run on Thursday as he's not very well in at the weights," said Taaffe this morning.

"We stuck him in on Saturday more to see what kind of mark he would get over in England.

"He also has the option of running in a 2m3f hurdle at Naas on Sunday and we'll see what way the weights are for that.

"I have the Old Roan Chase at Aintree (October 22nd) in my head for him and I think he would get into that with a nice weight."
