Pilgrim shows rivals the Way home The consistent Pilgrim Way gained the second win of his career when claiming the two-and-a-half mile handicap hurdle at Tipperary this evening. Sean Flanagan settled the 6/1 shot mid-division before taking closer order turning for home. Mark Cahill's charge hit the front before the last and kept on well in the closing stages to beat Plain Talking by a length-and-a-half. The winner had gained his previous victory at Navan last September and had followed that up with four runner-up efforts. He had been sixth in a large field at Cork on his most recent outing.
