Pique set for Chelmsford run Willie Mullins will break new ground on Thursday when Pique Sous becomes his first runner at Chelmsford. The champion National Hunt trainer is not unknown for his raids on the major Flat staying handicaps in the summer in the UK but his all-weather runners are scarce to say the least. Pique Sous was a Royal Ascot winner in his younger days and the 10-year-old will at least be reunited with Ryan Moore, who partnered him to his biggest success. Moore is back in action just a few days having ridden at a Group One meeting at Caulfield, Australia. Pique Sous runs in the colours of Supreme Racing Club, and their racing manager Steve Massey said: "He ran well at Dundalk over a trip that was a little bit too short. "He's still got the spark and running over two miles, with Ryan Moore riding him, we're expecting a good run. "It would be fantastic if he wins, as that would qualify him for the big staying race (at Lingfield) on Good Friday. If he doesn't, we'll have to see if we can fit another run in. "He's won on the all-weather before and Lingfield is his big target."
