Ten Sovereigns could be back out again quickly after his sparkling debut performance on Saturday as he appeared among 14 confirmations for the John Sisk & Son Round Tower Stakes at the Curragh on Saturday.

Aidan O’Brien’s youngster strolled to a seven-length victory last weekend and could be joined by stablemates Sergei Prokofiev, Gossamer Wings and Fantasy.

Tom Mullins’ debut winner Mia Momento, now owned by Phoenix Thoroughbreds, and Pat Prendergast’s Could Be King are other notable entries.

On just his second outing Could Be King finished fourth in the Futurity Stakes behind Derby favourite Anthony Van Dyck, briefly threatening to break the Ballydoyle stranglehold on the race.

“I was very pleased with him and I think his inexperience just caught him out in the last 100 yards,” said Prendergast.

“I’ll discuss with his owner what next. He’s got some nice entries but we could just drop him down to try and win a maiden.

“He’s been working well before making his debut at Leopardstown but he was just too green to do himself justice there and finished third.

“He didn’t learn enough that day but he’s hopefully got a bright future.”
