Russell lands O´Brien job Davy Russell has joined forces with Naas trainer Michael O´Brien following his recent split from the Ferdy Murphy yard. The Cork rider has been appointed first jockey to O´Brien, for whom he rode a winner (Bennies Pride) and a second at Leopardstown on Sunday.´I asked him the other day when he came home from Ferdy Murphy´s if he would like to ride for us,' said O´Brien before adding, ´He´s only young, but he´s a nice rider. It´s going to take him a while to get going at the top level and he´s a lot to learn, but he seems to ride well enough. He´ll be riding out here a couple of days a week.´
