Russell makes speedy return Davy Russell is set to make a quick return to action at Wexford after escaping with just bruising in a fall at Thurles on Thursday. It had been feared the Irish jump jockey had broken a thumb in a fall from Fier Destrier at the fourth-last fence in the Horse & Jockey Beginners Chase at Thurles. However, X-rays revealed no break. His agent Andrew Kelly said: "The X-rays found it was just bruised, so he's going to take a couple of mounts at the weekend in Wexford."
