Sapphire Stakes next for Logo Hunter The Cola Kid was a fifth winner of the season for Michael Browne when landing the 6f apprentice handicap at Naas yesterday in the colours of Logo Hunter’s owner Patrick Moyles, and afterwards the Co. Tipperary trainer gave an update on his stable star. Bought out of Ger Lyons’ yard for 5,000 guineas last autumn, the highly progressive gelding by talented Australian sprinter Brazen Beau has been one of the stories of the Flat season to date. After winning a maiden at Dundalk in early March, Logo Hunter won a handicap off 89 the following month and now holds a rating of 113 after Listed wins at Naas and Cork on his two most recent starts. Offers have understandably been made for the 3-year-old but for the moment, and doubtless to the great joy of the tailors and dry cleaners of Cashel, the horse remains in the care of his popular, and unfailingly dapper, trainer and a tilt at Pattern company is next. Browne said: “He’s great and will go for the Paddy Power Sapphire Stakes (Group 2) at the Curragh on Saturday week (July 17). “He was never better and is in great form. We’ll know what we have after the next day.” Logo Hunter also holds engagements at the highest level later in the summer in the Nunthorpe Stakes and the Flying Five Stakes.
