Simply Sideways was a big contributor to what was a wonderful season for trainer Tim Doyle last term and the Sir Prancealot mare is a 16/1 chance with Paddy Power to land tomorrow's Nua Healthcare Irish Lincolnshire at the Curragh.

The seven-year-old won five handicaps in 2023 and saw her mark go up by almost 40lb, rounding off her campaign with a creditable third over course and distance in November.

“Simply Sideways is in great order and soft ground won’t bother her," said Doyle

"She likes it heavy."

“I’m hoping for a big run. You never know the first day how fit and well they are, but her homework is good.

“Hopefully it goes ahead.”

The ground remains heavy at headquarters with some more rain forecast for today and officials are continuing to monitor the situation.

Paddy Power bet as follows : 6 Chazzesmee, 8 Lan Cinnte, Rahmi, Take Heart, 10 San Aer, 11 Raadobarg, Snapraeterea, 12 Joe Masseria, Tosen Wish, 14 Casanova, Green Sky, 16 Serious Challenge, Simply Sideways, Smooth Tom, 20 Earls, Lexington Dash, 25 Current Option, Mr Lincoln, 33 Razdan, 40 High Honour
