Situation being monitored at Clonmel The ground at Clonmel is now heavy following 14mm of rain overnight. The Co. Tipperary track has seen a total of 28mm over the past three days, and the situation continues to be monitored ahead of this afternoon's card with high winds also an issue. The Grade 3 Surehaul Mercedes-Benz Novice Hurdle is the feature on a seven-race card which gets underway at 1.20pm. Meanwhile the ground at Thurles is currently soft (9mm rain overnight) ahead of next Thursday's meeting. There is an unsettled forecast over the coming days. The ground at Fairyhouse remains soft to heavy ahead of their meeting on Saturday. The forecast is for heavy rain, expected tomorrow into tomorrow night.
