High winds are causing some concern ahead of Sunday's meetings at both Punchestown and Cork with the situation being monitored at both venues.

There is a Status Yellow wind warning in the Kildare area and a more serious Status Orange wind warning in the Cork area tomorrow due to Storm Atiyah.

There will be a further update in the morning.

The going at Punchestown, where the Grade One John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase is the highlight on a seven-race card beginning at 12.20, is generally yielding to soft (soft in places on the chase course).

There is Grade Two action at Cork (first race 12.35) in the shape of the Kerry Group Hilly Way Chase, and the going is soft (yielding to soft in places) on the hurdle course and yielding to soft on the chase course.
