Theatre looking to put on a show Fine Theatre will try to add another Grade Two success to the family laurels as he goes for glory in the Michael Purcell Memorial Novice Hurdle at Thurles. The five-year-old is a son of Finemar Lady, who has proved a dream ticket for owner Kay Browne and trainer Paul Nolan, highlighted by the Hennessy Gold Cup victory of another son, Joncol, five years ago. Fine Theatre is one of two siblings Browne has in training with Nolan at present and the handler is hoping the son of King's Theatre can build on his shock 20-1 success in a Fairyhouse maiden hurdle last month. "I was very happy with his run in Fairyhouse and I'm hoping he'll improve from that and give a good account of himself," said the County Wexford trainer. "He hasn't that much experience as he didn't run in point-to-points but we have to go somewhere. It's a competitive race, even though there are only six runners, and he deserves to take his chance. "All the family seem to want it soft so we'll certainly not be blaming the ground anyway." Champion trainer Willie Mullins saddles Milsean and Sambremont, while Sandra Hughes is also doubly represented by Sub Lieutenant and Total Recall. Recent course winner Goulane Chosen completes the line-up for the two-and-a-half-mile feature.
