Tote launch mobile app

Tote Ireland has launched, Tote Mobile, a new mobile betting application that offers safe and secure live betting into Irish and UK Tote Horse Racing pools.

Tote Mobile is compatible for Android and iPhone.

You can now place your favourite Tote bets on Irish and UK racing using your mobile, including the Jackpot, Placepot, Exacta, Trifecta, Daily Double and Pick Six, providing you have a Tote account.

The mobile app contains many of the features available on www.thetote.com , enabling users a faster, more convenient betting experience.

Tote Mobile has been developed by Actus Mobile, a Wicklow (Ireland) based company providing technologies that enables businesses to connect with their markets using mobile phones.

The Actus developed technology is the world’s most secure mobile transaction platform with 4-Factor Authentication (4-FA) security, a security level that would take a supercomputer some hundreds of years to crack. Actus is currently recruiting 18 mobile commerce specialists to meet demand for their software.

The new development by Tote Ireland sees the Tote enter the ever growing mobile gambling market.

At the end of 2010 the mobile gambling market accounted for 9.8% of interactive and 0.6% of global gambling. This is forecast to grow to 12.9% and 0.9% respectively over the next two years. Gross Gambling Yield (GGY) is forecast to grow to €5.4bn by the end of 2015.
