On her fourth career start Demurely made all to take the Croom House Stud EBF Fillies Maiden providing her trainer Aidan O’Brien with a treble on the card and her rider Colm O’Donoghue with a double.

The chestnut daughter of Galileo (second winner for that sire after Kingston Jamaica in the first) was sent off the 4/5 favourite after running well to finish fifth of eight behind Sapphire in the Listed Noblesse Stakes at Cork last time out.

Dropping back to maiden company this evening she made all and asserted from two furlongs out before staying on well to score by two and a quarter lengths. Faanan Aldaar finished second at 7/4 for Paul Deegan and Chris Hayes while Precious Stone was a further three parts of a length back in third for David Wachman and Billy Lee at 7/1

Winning rider Colm O’Donoghue said afterwards: "She is improving with every run and the penny is beginning to drop with her.

"She had a solid run the last day and hopefully she will keep improving now.”

The winner is a half-sister to 2008 Irish Oaks heroine Moonstone and Moon Indigo who won twice on the level for Aidan O’Brien and has won three times under National Hunt rules in the UK, two over hurdles for Howard Johnson and one over fences for John Wade.
