Tregoning Pursues Gowran prize Marcus Tregoning is looking forward to seeing Secret Pursuit make her first competitive start since November in Sunday's Denny Cordell Lavarack & Lanwades Stud Fillies Stakes at Gowran. Although the daughter of Lawman has been off the track since ploughing through the Saint-Cloud mud to win a Listed prize 10 months ago, she has not been sidelined by injury, with Tregoning merely keeping his powder dry with a filly that seemingly relishes an easy surface. She travels to Ireland for her comeback appearance and will have the assistance of Joseph O'Brien in the saddle for the extended nine-furlong Group Three. Tregoning said: " She's very well. She handled cut in the ground last year and that's why we've waited until the autumn. "I hope she'll run very well, but of course Irish soft ground is very different. "She appears to handle it at home and she did on the course when she won in France last year. "We've just been waiting for the ground for her, that's all." Secret Pursuit is joined on the trip from Britain by the Hughie Morrison-trained Marsh Daisy, a Listed-race winner in France little over a fortnight ago. The highest-rated participant is Jessica Harrington's Jack Naylor. The three-year-old enjoys a welcome drop in class after five consecutive appearances at Group One level, most recently finishing sixth in the Yorkshire Oaks. Aidan O'Brien saddles course and distance winner Easter and Outstanding, who were fifth and sixth respectively in last week's Blandford Stakes at the Curragh. Dragon Fei, Off Limits and Stellar Glow round off the eight-strong field.
