Universal Truth picked up injury in Cesarewitch

Universal Truth which started favourite for yesterday's Totesport.com Cesarewitch at Newmarket is likely to be on the easy list for some time.

Dermot Weld's charge appeared to be travelling strongly inside the final half mile of the end of season marathon, but weakened tamely to finish towards the rear.

Weld reported this morning: "Universal Truth has a suspected pelvic injury following yesterday's race. The horse recieved a bump and collided with the running rail with around four furlongs to race and this is where I believe the injury occurred."

"All plans for Universal Truth will be put on hold until we get clarification about the extent of his injuries."
