Vocalised well ahead of Longchamp trip

Jim Bolger's Vocalised heads to the French 2000 Guineas at Longchamp on Sunday as ante-post favourite.

A game win in the Greenham at Newbury is sandwiched between two victories at the Curragh, firstly in the Loughbrown Stakes in April.

He was out again as recently as last Monday, beating Chief Lone Eagle just under two lengths on heavy ground in the Group Three Tetrarch Stakes.

"It was heavy but he still went through it," said Bolger, who said he had no doubts about Vocalised staying a mile despite all his five runs so far being over seven furlongs.

"He's very well and we are expecting him to run well on Sunday. They are saying the ground is on the good to soft side at the moment, but we don't mind what it is."
