Walsh Wary Of Ar Mad in Clarence House Un De Sceaux, who has the distinction of being Willie Mullins' only runner in Britain this season, is currently trading as the odds-on favourite for Saturday's Berkshire Community Foundation Clarence House Chase at Ascot. However, his jockey Ruby Walsh is taking nothing for granted and respects Ar Mad, who was far from disgraced when fourth in the Tingle Creek on what was his first run for almost 300 days. "It looks like being a pretty similar race to the Tingle Creek bar Sire De Grugy but with Special Tiara," Walsh told Racing UK. "I'd imagine Ar Mad will be less exuberant after having a run, though, and he'll be a tough nut to crack." Sire De Grugy will bypass an outing in the Grade One. He may have turned 11 two weeks ago, but the chestnut has been as good as ever this season, winning at Ascot and finishing a length second to Un De Sceaux in the Tingle Creek at Sandown. He then went to Kempton for the Desert Orchid Chase where, although an early casualty, he ended up galloping the whole two miles. Moore feels Sire De Grugy needs a little longer to recover from those exertions, although the yard will still be represented by Ar Mad. "He's not going to run at the weekend," said Moore. "It's coming too soon for him. I know he got rid of Jamie early, but he galloped a full circuit. "He'll go straight to Newbury now for the Game Spirit. "Ar Mad will run and it at least means Jamie can ride him."
