Waterloo among Middle Park entries Aidan O'Brien's Royal Ascot hero Waterloo Bridge is one of 15 possibles for the Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday. The son of Zoffany hasn't been sighted since that Group Two Norfolk Stakes success but could line up alongside stablemate Painted Cliffs. The classy Shalaa seems set to prove the star attraction in the Group One event, the Al Shaqab-owned colt having won the July Stakes, the Richmond Stakes and the Prix Morny on his last three outings and now going for five wins in a row. In the same ownership is Richard Hannon's Gutaifan, second in the Prix Morny and winner of the Flying Childers since. Hannon could also run Log Out Island, Madrinho and Orvar, a winner in Turkey last time out. Mark Johnston's Coventry Stakes winner Buratino would be a big threat if the ground was on the quick side but he has missed several engagements since his big day at Ascot. The Gimcrack winner Ayaja gives William Haggas a strong hand along with Ornate while Charlie Appleby has two contenders in Rouleau and Venturous. Saeed bin Suroor's Steady Pace is also in the frame with Kevin Ryan's Mont Kiara and Johnston's Riflescope completing the list.
