Alice Monet showed her rivals a clean pair of heels with a fine front-running performance in the Dublin To Bahrain Race Series Handicap at Leopardstown.

Chris Hayes bounced out in front on the 4/1 shot in the nine-furlong contest and asked her to quicken early in the straight.

The Dermot Weld-trained filly quickened smartly passing the furlong pole to post a two-and-a-half length win in the Moyglare Stud colours.

Alice Monet was following up on a wide margin win in an optional claimer at Fairyhouse just over two weeks ago.

“She likes nice ground and this was an ideal race for her. Tactics still win races and that was the plan,” said Weld.

“It was a great opportunity, a lot of money, and we had to take it.

“She’ll be a stakes filly with a bit of luck. She’s progressing, coming forward nicely. She’s getting better with each race and building her confidence. I see her getting black-type.”
