Amendments made to Clonmel & Roscommon race programmes Lorcan Wyer, the IHRB Clerk Of The Course at both Clonmel and Roscommon, has announced amendments to upcoming fixtures at both venues. "Due to the recent prolonged spell of dry and warm weather a decision has been made to make some amendments to the programme of races for upcoming fixtures at Clonmel and Roscommon," Wyer said. "Due to operational reasons relating to watering at both racecourses, the Clonmel fixture on June 6th will now be a hurdle card with a National Hunt Flat race to be added, and the fixture at Roscommon on June 9th will be an all chase card only. "We feel that due to operational reasons watering one particular racing line is more practical at each of these venues for these two upcoming fixtures. "This decision has been made early to allow boat race courses focus on watering a single racing line and to give advanced notice to all stakeholders. "The responsibility of race planning rests with Horse Racing Ireland and they will announce the updated programme for both fixtures in due course. "Furthermore the new EasyFix traditional style hurdles will be in use at Clonmel on June 6th."
