Having made a winning stable debut for Gavin Cromwell at Gowran Park last time, Aspurofthemoment completed a hat-trick when landing the Yellow Sam 50th Anniversary (Q.R.) Handicap Hurdle at Bellewstown.

A winner on his final point-to-point start for previous connections, the six-year-old was scoring for the third time in succession.

Despite being put up 11lb for his latest win, the Ocovango gelding showed that he still had plenty in hand as he landed the spoils under Eoin Finegan.

Heading long time leader Pebble Bleu after two out, the eventual winner was soon strongly pressed by Our Soldier

However, having asserted on the approach to the final flight, Aspurofthemoment surged clear to win by four lengths.

Gavin Cromwell said: "I'd say the better ground and the step up in trip was a big help to him.

"He didn't jump particularly well here today, but he got away with it and he won.

"Yeah, I think so (run over that sort of trip in the future) - he could probably come back a little bit, but ultimately he is a stayer."
