Lady Bluebird (18/1) made most and ran out an emphatic winner of Tramore's mares' handicap hurdle over two miles, five furlongs.

Just over two years after her maiden hurdle win at Down Royal, the nine-year-old was clear for much of the journey.

She looked vulnerable as the 3/1 favourite Might Be The One closed travelling well on the downhill run after three out, but the winner went again and stretched clear to beat the market leader by 13 lengths.

The winner is owned and trained, in Nobber Co Meath, by Hugh Finegan and was ridden by his nephew Eoghan who explained "The blinkers were a big help and the step down in grade into this 100 bracket.

"We've been very disappointed with her because she was a good mare early on. She just had a few little niggly problems and we have them all ironed out now. She is a good mare and I think she can go on from this.

"I just said I'd use her class and go out in front. She has won a bumper and a maiden hurdle, so she was entitled to do what she did today in that company.

"Hugh is my uncle and I'm with Gavin Cromwell three days a week and with Ciaran Murphy two days. I kind of float around after that."
